How Wyoming withholding is handled
Wyoming has no state personal income tax. This calculator separates that zero state wage-tax line from federal taxes and your benefit deductions.
A state withholding example
If the prior Social Security wages entered have already reached the 2026 $184,500 wage base with this employer, ordinary additional wages have $0 Social Security withholding; Medicare can still apply. Wyoming state wage income withholding is also $0 for a different reason.
Coverage limits
For a worker changing employers, enter prior wages with the current employer, not a combined total from every job. Special occupations and cross-state work are not covered.
Regular resident W-2 wages only. Use confirmed local/other payroll charges where required. No tax-return, reciprocity, nonresident-alien or special-occupation calculations. Benefit entries must qualify under your employer’s plan.
