How Tennessee withholding is handled
Tennessee has no personal income tax. The former Hall tax was repealed for tax years beginning in 2021, so an old Hall tax rate should not be applied to your 2026 paycheck.
A state withholding example
A $52,000 salary entered with 52 equal payments produces $1,000 gross per check. State wage income withholding is $0, while federal withholding and payroll deductions still apply.
Coverage limits
The salary conversion assumes equal regular checks. A bonus or a different number of actual paydays changes the amount; use gross pay this period for a known paycheck.
Regular resident W-2 wages only. Use confirmed local/other payroll charges where required. No tax-return, reciprocity, nonresident-alien or special-occupation calculations. Benefit entries must qualify under your employer’s plan.
